hree Saraswoti Secondary School – Education & Digital Learning Project

Location: Maijogmai Rural Municipality–05, Soyang, Ilam, Koshi Province, Nepal
Implementation Period: January 2025 – December 2025
Status: Successfully Completed

The Shree Saraswoti Secondary School Education & Digital Learning Project was successfully implemented from January to December 2025 with the support of Books for Change, Switzerland, in collaboration with Maijogmai Rural Municipality and Shree Saraswoti Secondary School.

The project aimed to improve students’ access to quality educational resources and technology-enabled learning opportunities. A child-friendly library was established with age-appropriate books, educational materials, and child-friendly furniture to promote reading habits, creativity, curiosity, and independent learning.

A computer lab was also established to provide students with practical opportunities to develop essential digital skills. The computers were equipped with a digital e-library and digital educational content, providing students and teachers with access to diverse learning resources and supporting technology-based teaching and learning.

As part of the project, a four-day teacher training program was conducted to strengthen teachers’ capacity to effectively use computers, digital educational content, e-library resources, and creative digital learning tools in classroom teaching. The training supported teachers in integrating technology into their lessons and encouraged more interactive and student-centered learning approaches.

The project was successfully completed in December 2025 and has contributed to strengthening reading culture, digital literacy, teacher capacity, creativity, independent learning, and access to quality educational resources for students in the rural community.
